Education

Irene L. Lawrence received her B.F.A. in Interior Design at a college that focused on Art as its primary goal. Because of this she was exposed to all forms of art: painting, photography, sculpting, industrial design, computer rendering and graphic design. Her particular program was centered around sustainability and how to leave a smaller footprint on our already struggling "Mother Earth".

Fine Art

Although she graduated as an Interior Designer, she decided to do what she loves and that is to create art. She feels strongly about bringing awareness to unnecessary waste. Much of her work reflects this by using discarded items she has found while walking along hiking paths and kayaking. She has worked in several media - watercolors, acrylics, and oils.

Photography

Irene also has a large portfolio of photographs she has taken. Her subjects include

  • Landmark landscapes

  • Architecture

  • Nature in all its forms

Passing it forward

When she is not creating art in her studio, she is teaching cultural art to anyone who is interested. She has been fortunate to travel to many parts of the world - visiting 20 countries on 5 continents; she has absorbed the culture, food and art and is so excited to pass these experiences on to others.

Thank you for visiting and showing interest in art.
